Core’s roots go back to 1984, when Carlos Pereira established its parent company, Olympic Concrete.  Carlos, who emigrated from Portugal at age 14, grew Olympic to its current success starting as a laborer.  Over the years, Carlos taught his son Paul, now Core’s president, the inner-workings of the trade both on and off the field, and instilled in him the Pereira family tradition of hard work, reliability and integrity.
